Finally! The first sign of Fall… There is a little drizzle outside, which is so appropriate for the mood I’m in. :( I want to go home and hide under my covers.

The older I get the more I realize what a crazy hard job being a parent is. You realize it wasn’t just cuddles with a sleepless baby or endless chauffeuring to the malI (do kids still go to the mall?), but it’s a lot of thankless f*cking work. More and more of my friends are joining the mommy club and it impresses the hell out of me. Again, making me appreciate my own mother more. _ I’m shocked that I didn’t end up an only child. My Mom loves to tell everyone I went straight from colic (whatever that is) to PMS. Probably those three years between myself and @kendallalane gave them both a little bit of breathing room. Literally, I had terrible asthma. The kind that puts you in the hospital and poor Kendall was never sick. Being the boss bitch she is, she took matters into her own hands. Then came @ladylike_behavior who made me cry because she cried… All the time. It wasn’t hurt fault though and it got her out of all the spankings. Or did anyone else get spanked? Just me? I’m sure I deserved it. _ Here is a picture of us at one of our favorite places. Just down the road from Aunt’s house in Cambria. Happy Mother’s Day @mamalor! Thanks for raising me to be the badass I am today

A year and a half ago @mrgoddard and I were lucky enough to be on the #diy show Yard Crashers with @chrislambton13. Since then we've done a lot of our own work to the yard. My favorite is this potato vine on the pergola. It grows and flowers year around and it's probably the best part of the yard. 🏡😍
