I'm not sure what the designer's equivalent of writer's block is, but whatever you'd call it - mine has been lifted! In the last few weeks my Etsy shop is blossoming. I am inspire by so many things, pinterest (obviously), the magazines I read, and often in nature itself. Design and interesting layouts are everywhere you look and after my eye exam last month... I'm seeing it all clearly again. ;) If you're a hostess with the mostess then take a peek at my shop before your next event!

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days my friends, but I've just hired a new receptionist at work. I've been stuck training her the last couple of days. I can't exactly sit on my laptop and set a bad example now can I? To make it up to you I've designed a fun, bright new wallpaper for your iPhones. I chose bright because it's been raining all week here in lovely Sacramento. It's been anything, but bright! I'm going to try out "freebie friday" as a regular feature... Flex my design chops and share some fun stuff with all of you. Sound like something you could get behind? If you have any suggestions please feel free to comment below! To get the two images for your phone click here and here. If you're on your phone you should just be able to hold your finger on the image and then select the option "save image". If not you'll have to download them onto your computer and then email the images to an email account that is linked to your iPhone. Once you've saved them into your photo library click the little arrow on the bottom left and select the option "use as wallpaper". Everything should be exactly in the right spot so I'll you need to do is his 'set' and now you have a new wallpaper set!
I don't know if I mentioned before, but one of the many projects I'm juggling right now is a wedding invitation. Not just the wedding invitation, but everything that comes along with these types of things. Save the date, reply card, table numbers etc. I get so excited with each project and I'm always sharing my ideas with friends, but I sometimes forget to share here too. The bride-to-be is a friend of mine so that alleviates some (SOME) of the anxiety. Weddings are such a big moment in a girl's life that I want it to be just as perfect as does. Her and I just sat down together on Tuesday for her to look over my samples and take them back to her fiance. Right now there's a lot of ideas floating around, she has yet to decide whether she wants something with an intricate pattern or sweet and simple. The ideas stage is so fun and with the awesome site Pinterest, she's able to share all her ideas on boards for me to review. Have I mentioned that I LOVE Pinterest??
So what do you think? I should have the save the date completed next week, I'll let you know how it turns out. :)
